Little Boolievers Mini Playing Cards - $8.39
“Frankly, I Follow Jesus!” - Frankenstein
“Wrapped In The Love Of Jesus!” - Mummy
Nightmare creatures
removed of nightmare,
given smiles and
proclamation. Creatures
meant to jar and make
us question freed of
questions - granted faith
with exclamation marks.
Where is the angst appropriate
to a cobbled together, not-
meant-to-be man? Or a body
in its burial clothes,
and yet alive enough
to move and haunt?
Both so far from
what we mean when
we say “resurrection.”
But maybe that explains it.
Longing to break out of half-lives,
they’ll smile at anyone who asks.
